As soon as I arrived at WPPI there was this buzz that was circulating that there would be a real wedding and photographers were invited to celebrate with Sony brand ambassador Michael Atlan.
I give huge props to Sony for putting together such a great event and Michael and Jeni for going with the flow and allowing us to celebrate with them. It was crazy seeing so many photographers at one event and i’m sure Michael and Jeni will have tons of pictures to remember this special day!
Nothing gets you in the mood for a wedding photography conference like reading a book all about wedding photography on the flight out. I can say that Paul’s book “Mastering Wedding Photography” is one of the best books I have read on the subject. If you are a Sony shooter and looking to start shooting weddings or if you are thinking of switching, please do yourself a favor, and buy this book. Mastering Digital Wedding photography is by far the most informational book on the subject of using the Sony alpha system for weddings.
Yesterday myself and the rest of our WPPI crew headed out to one of my favorite places to shoot, Nelson Nevada. Everyone had a great time and all of the models as well as the makeup artist were definately on point! Check out some of my favorites from the shoot!
A few nights ago the group hit the streets of Las Vegas to practice run and gun lighting, little did we know this city is not a big fan of photographers. Especially ones with softboxes. We still managed to get some cool shots before being thrown out!
