Recently I picked up a few Olympus cameras to try out. I purchased both the EM1-II and the PEN-F. The PEN is nice and small and when paired with the 17mm something magical happens. Walk with me and my family through the amusement park in black and white.
I get asked a lot from photographers who are just starting out what strobe they should buy. This is a quick overview of a few of my favorite lights and it is not an in-depth explanation about the technologies built in or how to use them. That is coming soon 🙂
Recently a reader of the blog sent me a question. He wanted to know what I recommend to get started with getting the flash off of the camera. Are you asking yourself the same question? Read on to learn more!
I am a pretty avid reader (audible subscriber) and I absolutely love sharing books that have changed my business and my career. I wanted to do a quick post about the top 10 books that I have read on leadership that has changed the way I live my personal life and my business life.
I was fortunate to shoot with the all-new Lensbaby Velvet 85 F1.8 that was released a few hours ago. As many of you know I love the Lensbaby lineup especially the Velvet line. I have to tell you the all new velvet 85 is no slouch. The build quality is amazing, the lens is sharp when you need it and dreamy when you want it. A number of looks that you can get from this lens makes it one of the most versatile pieces in my bag. Below are some shots that I took this week during a photo walk and around the area.
Today ThinkTank announced rev’s of 2 of their lines, the Streetwalker Rolling backpack as well as their turn style bags. I have been waiting to upgrade my current backpack to one that also has wheels so it is more versatile. Im loving the modern look of the new streetwalker bags. Below is the press release with all of the info as well as photos!
This past weekend I was uber-fortunate to lead a photowalk in downtown Rochester New York. I don’t think I have ever shared how much I LOVE that city. Last fall I shot a wedding and taught some classes in Rochester and I have been jonesing to get back. Huge thanks to The Pixel Connection in Cleveland Ohio for hooking me up with the awesome discounts for participants and Lensbaby for letting us borrow lenses for the photowalk! Here are some of the images I captured of our beautiful models.
Next week I will be traveling to Rochester New York to do a Lensbaby Photowalk. Come check out this free photo walk in downtown to learn about off camera lighting, environmental portraiture, and add some images to your portfolio. This will be a hands-on event!
