Today Apple announced several new additions to their lineup of devices and software. Up until this point we have been limited to 2 tablet devices for the classroom from Apple. iBooks Author 3: (available today)

Ibooks author was released on January 19, 2012 at Apples previous education event. With the new version we have several new templates, new fonts and you can also use your own fonts as well. With the new version you also have the ability to insert mathematical expressions natively. Multitouch widgets are now available which means publishers can push updates faster and easier. It is also worth noting that 80% of US highschool curriculum is available today.

  • New iCloud integration to save where you left off.
  • The ability to post excerpts to Twitter and Facebook
